Abstract
Vietnam has diverse natural conditions with many different ethnic groups living from the North to the South. This has created an extremely rich ecosystem with many different crop varieties of high value. Plant Resources Center has collected crop of germplasm in 8 districts including Dak R'Lap, Dak G'Long (Dak Nong province), Bu Gia Map, Bu Dop, Bu Dang (Binh Phuoc province), Mang Yang, Chu Pah (Gia Lai province) and Quan Hoa district (Thanh Hoa province). These locations are diversity of plant genetic resources quite typical. The results collected 446 accessions of 47 plant species belonging to 4 groups such as the poaceae, beans sesame, vegetables and spices, root and tuber crops. Among of collected crops, the most diversity group is the green vegetable and spices with 20 species, following beans sesame with 14 species. The biggest accession among collected at Quan Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province with 115 accessions, following Mang Yang district, Gia Lai province with 80 accessions while Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province collected at least 27 accessions. Initial introduction of 17 potential accessions for the exploitation and development of crop germplasm with the goal of conserving and sustainable development of plant resources, serving the needs of local economic development
