Abstract

Agricultural production plays an important role in economic and social development, especially in mountainous areas. However, the agricultural land use types are influenced by the natural, economic and social conditions. The objective of this paper was to identify the factors that were directly or indirectly controlled the economic efficiency of some agricultural land use types in Quang Nham and Trung Son communes, A Luoi district. The multiple linear regression analysis method was applied to determine the factors influencing the economic efficiency of some agricultural land use types. The results indicated that economic efficiency of rice was influenced by the factors of the number of employees (20.44%), direct raw materials cost (19.59%), soil types (19.09%), irrigation system (14.41%), years of experience in cultivation (13.48%) and loan (13.29%). The results also showed that economic efficiency of cassava was mainly influenced by irrigation system (30.31%), the number of employees (23.96%), years of experience in cultivation (23.87%) and soil types (21.86%). Overall, factors including direct raw materials cost, soil types, years of farming experience in cultivation and irrigation systems were mostly affected to agricultural production in A Luoi district.
