Abstract
The study was conducted from March 2018 to November 2018 through interviewing farmers who have the suitable coconut cultivation models with high economic efficiency in Cau Ke District, Tra Vinh Province thereby proposing solutions to improve economic efficiency, planning coconut farming areas with high income for farm households. The result’s 90 surveyed-households showed that the input for production per 1 ha of coconut was usually 23.42 million VND, the average profit was 55,78 million VND/ha/ year. And the factors that affected the profitability of coconut is often the farm size and the number of labors taken care the coconut gardens. Meanwhile, the input for 1 hectare Sap coconut was 28,67 million VND, the average profit was286.03 million VND/ha /year and the factors affected the profit of Sap coconut gardens is the ratio of Sap nut and education of Sap coconut growers.
